FWD was appointed by the European Financial Marketing Association (EFMA) to execute a pan-European brief.
EFMA represents 80% of the retail banks in Europe and issues a regular cycle of up to 30 highly-regarded reports per year about the state of the retail banking sector across the continent, including the use of cash, online banking and cards and payments. These reports are drafted with a number of partners, including Microsoft, CapGemini and EY, and all PR activity needs to be co-ordinated with the partner authors.
EFMA selected FWD as a cost-effective single-agency PR solution in the best European location for their audiences. As EFMA did not have an in-house PR team or spokesperson, FWD was responsible for the planning, liaison and execution of all press activity, as well as drafting all communications and gaining the sign-off of the authors.
FWD was directly responsible for increasing press coverage worldwide by over 200% for the organisation during a single year, including coverage in Spain, France, Hungary, Italy and Germany.
