Kim joined FWD in 2006 and now heads up a team of investment writers. In addition to her investment writing role, Kim is part of the team responsible for business development. Her hands-on experience as a fund manager means she brings an investment perspective to all work undertaken by FWD, from writing to strategic consultancy to creative communications.
Kim worked in the City for over 20 years. She began her investment career with Prudential Portfolio Managers (PPM), working as a fund manager in the Fixed Income team for 15 years. During this time, she took a leading role in the formation of investment policy and specialised in servicing the needs of institutional clients. In 1993, Kim was appointed Head of PPM's Institutional Fixed Income business, and was responsible for tripling the amount of segregated institutional fixed income assets under management.
In 1998, Kim decided to refocus her life to give greater time to her young family. She became a consultant, working for M&G Investment Management Ltd. During this time, she undertook an investment writing role, as well as being responsible for the creation of all M&G's Institutional Fixed Income RFPs. Kim studied for a BSc in Pure Mathematics at the University of Warwick and qualified as an Associate of the Society of Investment Analysts.
